A webinar with researchers from Bangor University exploring the use of cost-benefit methodology to evaluate the social value of short breaks

It is important in short breaks to evidence the benefits created and who receives these. It is also important to compare these benefits with the costs of provision. One way to do this is with a method called Social Return on Investment or SROI. SROI is a form of economic analysis that examines social value.

In this webinar, hosted by Gill Toms and staff from the School of Health Sciences at Bangor University, we will walk you through the SROI method with a worked example using SROI to evaluate a day support service. We will suggest some key things that should be considered if you are planning to use SROI. This will lead into a discussion of the strengths and challenges of using SROI to explore short breaks.

We will endeavour to respond to questions, and we will offer tips on how to manage identified challenges.

The webinar will be of interest to researchers and short break providers who are interested in learning about a different way to evaluate short breaks. No prior knowledge of SROI is needed.

This is an online event on MS Teams and those registering will be sent a Teams meeting link.
