Join us for our webinar on Thursday 19th December at 12pm where we will be hearing from Morag Currie, Development Officer & Emily Carr, Creative Director at Hear My Music. Morag and Emily will be sharing information on the work that Hear My Music undertakes in promoting autonomy for people with autism and complex needs though participant-led music making.
Hear My Music is a recipient of our Better Breaks Funding for their Spectrum Music Project. This project is a 5-day programme of activities for children and young people with autism and/or complex needs, and their families or carers. The young people will take part in participant-led music sessions with our specialist music practitioners, whilst their families/ support will be able to take advantage of a range options for their respite, wellbeing and relaxation, such as yoga and guided relaxation sessions, arts and crafts/ play facilities for siblings, or simply a quiet space for relaxation and a cup of tea.

What to expect:
Our monthly online learning events are really informal and aim to foster a community of learning exchange and practice development helping people to stay informed of emerging needs and practices.
We want to provide inspiration at a particularly challenging time for the health and social care sector. These sessions will help participants:
- share experiences and learn from others in the field.
- showcase personalised short breaks provision and practice - in action
- provide a stimulating space for innovative and strategic thinking which can lead to new ideas
