Brief description:

Unfading Care Ltd is a live-in care service that provides carers to our clients in Scotland. Our philosophy is focused on independence and securing the peace of mind which comes from having one-to-one support and gentle companionship in your own home. We provide also short breaks for adults and their families. It can range from an activity that lasts for a few hours to overnight stays of a number of days. They can take place during the holidays, at weekends, during the day, or overnight.

Referrals can be accepted through the Social Work Department. We also respond to requests to provide individualised services which are funded separately.

Full service description:

We deliver our services in the client's home, hotels, private accommodations, and, respite accommodation. Live-in care has the benefit of allowing the person being cared for to remain within their familiar environment, a home they know, neighbours and friends nearby, and the things they have grown to love and be comforted by. Understanding when you or a loved one may have come to the point when need additional support may not be straightforward. It may also be difficult for someone to admit that they cannot do some of the tasks that they used to find easy. The live-in carer can - • Help with personal care (dressing, bathing, and grooming) • Prepare/cook meals • Prompt medication • Help with pets • Help with the housekeeping • Help to attend medical, dental, and other appointments • Help with shopping • Assist clients with entertaining friends and family; for example, carers can help cook Sunday lunch for a family visit • Provide companionship Short Breaks (Respite) Our carers can assist with: • Shopping • Cooking • Day trips e.g. to the beach, theme parks, and other attractions. • Activities including cinema, concerts, meals out • Relaxation • being available while your loved one watches a movie, listens to music, etc.

Price information:

Live-in care costs from £895 per week to £1550 per week depending on an individual’s needs.
