How do people access your service:

Services are accessible through self-referral, signposts/ referrals from health and community partners are also accepted – there is no formal referral paperwork required. Haven support is accessible though our hybrid model of telephone, video and in-person based support from within our Haven centres.

Full service description:

The Haven's comprehensive programme of services aim to improve clients’ emotional and mental health and wellbeing; build resilience; provide carers with a break from their caring role; and promote and increase self-management skills development.

•Emotional support session, providing clients with dedicated time and space to discuss and process their worries and challenges related to illness, caring and bereavement.
•Wellbeing Sessions - Pre-arranged or ad hoc telephone/video sessions to touch base, check on self-management progress and empower clients to sustain progress towards outcomes. These sessions also provide opportunities to gain feedback and evaluation of wellbeing activities and to identify new/changing needs to help inform their programme of care moving forward.
•Self-management wellbeing sessions – designed to support and empower clients to develop self-management strategies which support their wellbeing, including for example mindfulness practices, therapeutic breathing techniques and guided visualisation for relaxation.
•Relaxation, hands-on therapy sessions - including aromatherapy massage, reflexology, oncology massage and therapeutic touch for people living with dementia.
•Wellbeing resources aim to support the development of self management coping strategies and improve wellbeing.
