SHIP support children 5-18 years of age with additional support needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions in Perthshire to access leisure and recreational activities within their community, whilst providing parents, carers and siblings with much needed respite. SHIP runs youth clubs, sports clubs, Saturday clubs and school holiday clubs. All of our clubs are run by experienced, qualified staff and an enthusiastic team of young volunteers who are there to support the young people. SHIP Youth Club €“ S.H.I.P. runs weekly youth clubs during school term times for young people with additional support needs. These are run by experienced Play Leaders and supported by Volunteers. There are lots of exciting activities to choose from, which are planned around the needs of the young people, and provide them with opportunities to make friends and have lots of fun. You can come along to a youth club, no need to book. Please get in touch for more details. Perth Youth Club runs three nights a week during school term time from Gleneagles Day Opportunities. This is a purpose built centre with fantastic facilities including indoor garden, art room, sensory room, cooking facilities, computers, lounge are with TV and Wii, changing and hosting facilities. Cost £5 per session Kinross Youth Club runs every Tuesday at 6.30 - 8pm during school term time from Loch Leven Community Campus. This club is for school age children and young people with additional support needs.There are many different activities catering for all needs and abilities, including indoor and outdoor sports, sensory play, cooking, wii, arts and crafts and a chance for young people to make friends. There is also a parent support group at the same time a SHIP youth club so parents to meet in a relaxed environment for a coffee and chat, all welcome. Cost £5 per session SHIP Active Monkeys - S.H.I.P Active Monkeys is a social sports clubs for children and young people of school age which provides the opportunity to try out lots of different sports including badminton, football basketball, hockey, assault courses, team games and many more... This club is run by a S.H.I.P. Play Leader and supported by Volunteers. We would recommend that the kids bring a non-fizzy drink along with them. Cost £2 per session. Perth €“ Glenearn Community Campus S.H.I.P Saturday Club runs on two afternoons a month during term time. We run a morning and afternoon session. The club is for children and young people of school age. There are a variety of fun activities on offer such as cooking, sensory play, computers, Wii, playing board games, sports and many more! Young people must be booked into Saturday Club in advance. Costs £10 per session S.H.I.P Holiday Club runs during school holidays to provide activities for children and young people between the age of 5 and 18 years. We have lots of different activities, such as cooking, arts and crafts, sensory play, as well as community visits and trips. We tailor the programme to meet individual needs. We run from 8:30am to 5:30pm and offer a flexible service, with various drop-off and pick-up times, so parents and carers can choose what suits them best. Holiday Club operates for 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, for the following weeks: Easter Holiday - one week - 1st week of school holidays Summer Holidays - five weeks - 1st 5 weeks of the school holidays October Holidays - one week - 1st week of the school holidays Cost ranges from £25.00 - £35.00 Social inclusion is very much a priority, and our children are always matched 1:1 with non-disabled Volunteers who support them during Youth Club and the holiday Play Schemes. Parents and carers are very important to SHIP and we all work closely together to maximise the opportunities to support our children and young people, as well as providing essential respite for the people who do the real hard work. Some of our parents and carers are actively involved in helping to run the Clubs - in fact, we could not function without them! The time and effort they give is invaluable to our children and young people. We are always keen for new parents or carers to join our Committee and lend a hand - you will be guaranteed a warm welcome!
