Short outdoor activity breaks tailored to the individual needs of the young person/adult. These range from short 1:1 sessions, through evening/day activities to overnight stays, weekend and 5 day camps.

How do people access your service:

Through self-referral or referral via a social worker/key worker. Most young people/adults use their self-directed support (SDS) to fund our involvement, but we are able to work with a few who do not receive SDS

Usually shared room within local outdoor activity centres: some are en suite. Sometimes other self-catering accommodation or camping

Full service description:

We provide short outdoor activity breaks locally and across the Highlands. This might be regular 1:1 activity breaks locally or small group activities, either provded by ourselves, using our Adventure Activities Licence, or by other local outdoor activity providers. The young people/adults are supported on activities by our staff and team of volunteers. We also run the Duke of Edinburgh Award for some of our young people. We are registered as a Support Service with the Care Inspectorate: CS2016344006

Price information:

With effect from 1st April 2020 our SDS rates are: First Short 1:1 session Free Short 1:1 session £20/hour Half day £100 Full day (9 til 6) £175 Full day (9 til 9) £200 Overnight (Fri/Sat) £325 Overnight (Sat/Sun) £350 Weekend £460 5 day camp £700 For those not receiving SDS, parental contributions are sought.

What is included/not included in the price of the break:

Travel from Inverness to activity location; accommodation and food; activity costs, plus contribution towards staffing/volunteer costs

As we are a small organisation we do have a short waiting list for our services, but please do contact us anyway. We do not have our own facilities but use local recreational and outdoor centres with whom we have a good rapport and they are very flexible and understanding of the needs of our young people/adults.
