Leuchie House is a national respite charity based in East Lothian. We have recently grown beyond our walls to provide holidays for anyone who has accessible needs, and their families, in accessible, self catering accommodation. We manage Doddie Weir House, in Dirleton, which sleeps 6 and Glen View Caravan which is situated in Thurston Manor Leisure Park in Dunbar.

We have taken the expert knowledge we have learnt from providing respite breaks for people living with neurological conditions with 24 hour care, and used this provide thoughtful, accessible solutions to your holiday home above and beyond what you would usually expect.

Glen view, which sleeps 6, offers dog friendly, self-catering holiday accommodation equipped to help meet the needs of disabled people or people with mobility issues for whom ‘wheelchair access’ just isn’t enough.

We have equipped the caravan with items we think can help make your holiday easier, above what you would normally expect.

Perching stool
Hot water dispenser as well as a regular kettle

More about the location:

Thurston Manor is nestled at the foot of the Lammermuir hills, near the stunning East Lothian coastline and is set in 176 acres of breathtaking countryside. There is an abundance of things to see and do in the area. The park is 32 miles from the Scottish capital of Edinburgh, 35 miles from the border town of Kelso and 25 miles from Berwick Upon Tweed.

It's only 5 miles from the coastal town of Dunbar and its sandy beaches, and 14 miles from the coastal town of North Berwick.

Small swimming pool and jacuzzi. The pool does have a hoist.
Visiting live acts and ‘verdant vibes’ children’s entertainment runs from April to November.

Price information:

Prices start at £290 for a 3 night break in low season and the highest price is £999 for a week in high season.
