Hawthorn Brae cottage is a home from home, a newly renovated three bedroom cottage set over two floors. It is situated in the picturesque village of Blair Atholl on the edge of The Cairngorms National Park. VOCAL aims to make Hawthorn Brae as comfortable and welcoming as possible to everyone, including guests living with long-term health conditions.

A large three bedroom cottage sleeping 6. On the ground floor there is a twin room plus a shower room with WC. Upstairs there are two further bedrooms - a second twin room plus a master bedroom with a king-size bed. The family bathroom is on the upper floor with a corner bath and walk in shower. The large lounge has comfortable sofas and a rise and recline chair. There are two focal points in this room: a log burner and a large TV with Sky entertainment, Netflix and free Wi-Fi. The dining room had a large family dining table. There is an enclosed deck leading from the kitchen. The cottage has a fully enclosed front garden with fantastic views, and the rear garden is open plan with a bird watching hut. There is plenty parking space for up to three cars right outside the cottage on the gravel drive.

A beautiful self-catering cottage in the village of Blair Atholl, providing unpaid carers and people with life-limiting conditions with a relaxing break from caring routines. Hawthorn Brae cottage is managed by VOCAL, through the donation of EMMS International Hawthorn Brae Fund and supported by a generous donation from the Swinton Paterson Trust. The cottage provides free breaks to carers and people with life limiting conditions, and of limited means, living in Edinburgh. It is also available for paid bookings, and the income raised is used to fund the operations of the cottage.

Small step over front door frame then level throughout lounge, dining room, one twin room, kitchen and utility room. There is also a WC and shower room on the ground floor. There is a small step into the shower. Outdoor deck is also available from the kitchen. All pale neutral colours. Small bird watching hut set up in the garden for some alone time.
