Brief description:

Flemington Care Home is set in three acres of mature grounds, surrounded by open farmland. The house and gardens give a panoramic view over Lanarkshire and Glasgow. Presently we have 87 single rooms, 3 of which can be designated as companion rooms for couples or close family. At Flemington Care Home our respite programs provide planned short term and time limited breaks for families.

How do people access your service:

You can access our service either by social work referral for those who have been allocated respite funding, or by direct contact with the home to arrange private respite or with Self Direct Support.

Type of accommodation:

All rooms are centrally heated and are equipped with full en-suite facilities, TV, telephone, internet access and nurse-call systems. A choice of menus is offered for mealtimes using fresh produce and our chef will be pleased to provide an individual menu for specialised diets. The Care Home is designed to far exceed current Care Inspectorate requirements in terms of bedroom space (average 30% larger), day space (approx 100% more) and general facilities. Full service description:

We offer a high degree of independence and privacy in the friendly and homely atmosphere promoted within the Home by the management and staff.We have our own activities staff within the home to assist in occupational therapy. This can involve activities within the Home or trips and outings ranging from ‘pub lunches' & tea-dances to visits to museums, theatres and other places of interest. We enjoy a high degree of involvement from the local community which is of benefit to the residents. Anyone wishing further information, or to visit the home on an informal basis to view our facilities, is welcome to call our management team who will be happy to assist.

What is included/not included in the price of the break:

Care, food, laundry, general entertainment are all included in the price. Not included are items such as: newspapers / magazines, alcoholic beverages, specially requested snack foods (specific brands of food, sweets, drinks etc), toiletries, hairdressing, chiropody, telephone calls, internet access, outing expenditure, additional care needs outside the Home (support / transport for visits outside the Home).
