Ecas provides financial help, activities and befriending to physically disabled people living in Edinburgh and the Lothians. The Ecas Befriending Service provides a service to isolated, physically disabled adults 18+, living in Edinburgh.

Full service description:
Ecas administer the Grants Fund which supports people with physical disabilities resident in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Grants of up to £750 may be awarded to fund any specialised items not provided by statutory sources, such as specialist equipment, UK holidays, white goods or flooring. They do not provide grants for powered wheelchairs or scooters. Ecas also run activities which are open to physically disabled adults who live in Edinburgh and the Lothians. These include swimming, yoga, seated tai chi, art, craft, reading and creative writing, music and computing / IT. Support with transport costs to activities may also be available. Ecas also runs a befriending service for people with physical disabilities living in Edinburgh. Anyone who feels they could benefit from visits from a befriender should contact the Befriending Service team on 0131 475 2344 or email: hello@ecas.scot.
