How do people access your service:

Referrals for care home services are usually made by health care professionals (GP, District Nurse, ward staff, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist), carers, carers centres or are self referrals. Referrals should be made to the local social work department. All referrals are considered and the referrer will be notified that their request has been received and acted upon.

Type of accommodation:

Single rooms only. No ensuite. Various moving and handling aids and Osford and standard hoists. Variable height bath.

Cultural needs catered for:

We can cater for all diets. Most of the staff can understand gaelic and some can converse. We hold church services weekly alternating between Church of Scotland or Baptist and should the need arise we have a visiting Roman Catholic priest. Clients can have private visits from ministers and also communion in their own rooms. We also provide transport to the two churches on a Sunday.

Full service description:

In addition to the care home there is a separate wing with 5 single rooms which are jointly staffed by community nursing services and the home care staff.  All resident areas are covered by a staff call system and assistance can be readily summoned. The 12 bedrooms are fully furnished and each has a lockable drawer for your valued personal possessions. Bedrooms are fitted with television points and some have telephone points. Bedroom windows open to within safety limits. The care home has 1 sitting room, 1 smoke room, and 1 dining room and is wheelchair accessible throughout.
