As the Learning & Practice Development Officer, I am really enjoying contributing to the important work of the charity and helping share the many areas of learning and good practice among our stakeholders. Understanding what works for both unpaid carers and those they care for is essential to our mission to improve the quality, choice and availability of short breaks and respite care.

Previously, I worked for a national charity for 5 years as the Scotland Branch Coordinator, providing support to anyone affected by fertility issues as well as raising awareness. Prior to this, I spent 17 years working in the public sector within the field of social housing. During that time I worked in a range of roles and enjoyed working with people from a variety of backgrounds.

I live in Kinross with my family and various rescue pets! My interests include cooking, dining out, travel and music. I'm also trained in makeup application, something I happily discovered by accident during lockdown and love having this creative outlet.
